Shipping Heavy Equipment Internationally
When heavy equipment is leaving Canada, we plan the whole journey from the job site to the destination port.
We coordinate the trucking to port, the export documents and the ocean booking in one plan.
Oversize Permits for Heavy Equipment Hauling
Heavy equipment hauling often needs an oversize or overweight permit. Each province sets its own limits, routes and travel times, and some loads need pilot vehicles or travel only in daylight.
In British Columbia, permits are issued through Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement, and national rules for commercial transport are set by Transport Canada.
We plan the route, apply for the permits and arrange escorts with our carrier partners, so your heavy equipment hauling is legal, safe and on schedule.

Quick answers to common questions.

Talk to a real person. Our Vancouver team answers the phone and replies to every enquiry.
What counts as an oversized load in Canada?
In most provinces, loads wider than 2.6 metres or taller than about 4.15 metres need an oversize permit, and very large loads also need pilot vehicles. Limits vary by province and route.
How much does heavy equipment hauling cost?
The cost depends on the size and weight of the equipment, the distance, the trailer type and any permits or escorts required. Send us your equipment details for an exact quote.
Do you arrange oversize permits?
Yes. Oversize permits and any required pilot vehicles are arranged with our carrier partners as part of your move.
Can you ship heavy equipment overseas?
Yes. We ship machinery internationally on flat rack containers, as break bulk, or by RoRo for equipment that can drive on board.
What information do you need for a heavy haul quote?
The make and model, length, width, height and weight, the pickup and delivery locations, and how the equipment will be loaded and unloaded.
How far in advance should I book heavy equipment hauling?
For permitted loads, allow at least a few days for route planning and permits. Very large loads can need longer.
Do you load and unload the equipment?
Machinery that drives can be loaded on a lowboy or ramp. For non-running equipment we arrange cranes or forklifts at pickup and delivery.
Is my equipment insured during transport?
Carriers carry liability cover, and we recommend additional cargo insurance for high-value machinery.
