RoRo Shipping From Halifax and Other Canadian Ports
RoRo vessels call at Canadian ports including Halifax, which is a common gateway for roll-on roll-off sailings to Europe. Popular RoRo routes from Canada include:
Sailing schedules and routes change with carrier availability, so we confirm the best option for your destination when we quote.
Preparing Your Vehicle for RoRo Shipping
RoRo shipping is simple, but a little preparation avoids delays at the port. The vehicle must start and drive, have a working battery and brakes, and carry only a small amount of fuel.
Most RoRo carriers do not allow personal belongings inside the vehicle, so empty the cabin and trunk apart from the spare tire and tools. Note any existing damage at drop-off so the condition report is accurate.
Every vehicle exported from Canada must also be reported to the Canada Border Services Agency at least 72 hours before departure; the CBSA export guide has the details, and we file the report for you as part of your RoRo shipping booking.
